We're looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Manager to lead our Analytics team through an exciting period of transformation. This is a hands‑on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about coaching, agile delivery, and modern data platforms.
Team Leadership & Development
* Line management of a team of data professionals
* Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to support individual and team growth
Agile Delivery
* Facilitate daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Scrum ceremonies
* Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and team collaboration
Technical Oversight & Migration Support
* Support the team in migrating from a legacy UK on‑premise SQL Server/SSIS/SSRS stack to a modern Databricks + Power BI solution hosted in AWS/Azure
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth transition and adoption of new technologies
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business needs and analytics delivery
* Translate business requirements into actionable data initiatives
Qualifications
* Proven experience managing and developing high‑performing analytics or data teams
* Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience hosting Scrum ceremonies
* Solid technical background in data platforms, ideally with exposure to:
o SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS (legacy)
o Databricks, Power BI, AWS (modern stack)
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Comfortable working in a hybrid model with regular office presence in Stoke‑on‑Trent
