Skilled Worker / Semi-Skilled Worker | Full-Time | Production
Position: Tester
Location: Brighton, CO
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM
General Purpose:
Testing electronic components of Nacelle before final assembly.
Responsibilities:
1. Test safely according to all procedures, especially given high hydraulic pressures and voltages.
2. Control and test assembled or pre-assembled products to ensure quality and prevent failures passing to the next level or supplier.
3. Verify adherence to Vestas quality and testing standards before progressing the product.
4. Perform assembly/process work as needed; cover operations during absences.
5. Diagnose test failures and troubleshoot issues.
6. Serve as a point of contact for process/product engineering changes.
7. Ensure NCR reports are made for non-conforming products/assemblies.
8. Inspect products for compliance with specifications and quality control standards.
9. Record quality data and mark products with approval or rejection stamps, writing reports as necessary.
10. Provide customer service by responding to service requests and inquiries.
11. Collaborate with team, give and accept feedback, uphold organizational values, and follow policies.
12. Maintain safety and security procedures, report unsafe conditions, and use equipment properly.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
* Read, write, and understand simple instructions and memos.
* Observe safety procedures diligently.
* Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications:
* Electrical qualification: Journeyman or Master license with 4 years' experience, or relevant education with similar experience, or military technical training with experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems.
* Annual electrical and hydraulic safety training.
* Knowledge of manufacturing software and spreadsheets.
* Mathematical skills for measurements, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
* Ability to understand instructions in various formats and solve problems involving multiple variables.
Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and talking. Occasionally sitting and lifting up to 30 pounds. Good vision required.
Work Environment:
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, electrical shock risks, and vibrations. Moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations available.
Additional Requirements:
* Must pass electrical aptitude test.
* Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical troubleshooting (1-3 years).
* PLC, network, hydraulic valve knowledge preferred.
Compensation:
Salary range: $30.00 - $39.00/hour (+$3.00 night shift differential).
