Overview
NHS Tayside is welcoming applications for Fixed Term ST1/2 and ST3+ Clinical Fellow positions in Acute Medicine, General Medicine, and Medicine for the Elderly. These roles are based at Ninewells Hospital or Perth Royal Infirmary, starting in August 2025 for a 12-month period.
Eligibility
Applicants must have successfully completed Foundation training or equivalent.
Post Details
These posts include:
* Protected development time of up to half a day per week
* A designated mentor throughout the post
* Experience in acute care environments such as AMU
* Opportunities to attend local teaching sessions, including for PACES
Out of hours work will typically involve the AMU ST1/2 rota, supported by resident on-call registrars, or the ST3+ rota if applicable. Applications for daytime hours only, with no out-of-hours commitment, will be considered.
Career Development
This role offers valuable experience in various medical specialties, quality improvement, and teaching. There is potential for progression to a substantive Specialty Doctor role within Acute and General Medicine, with support for skill development in areas such as medical high-dependency.
