Hours of work; 37 hours per week, Full time over 4 or 5 days Monday to Friday.
Hours of work will vary daily but will be 4 or 5 days per week Monday to Friday with the potential to work 5 shorter days, 4 longer days or a mixture of both with start times from 7am and finish times up to 6pm according to a scheduling rota. £14.00 per hour.
The Role ;We have a fantastic opportunity for a warehouse operative to join the team at Trade Furniture Company and work alongside the warehouse manager and other team members at our site in Birstall. We are a growing company with a great dynamic team and progression opportunities may be available. The Successful candidate will be working in the warehouse operating a bendi FLT and will be tasked with general picking and loading duties, assisting with the unloading of containers, general upkeep and tidiness of the warehouse and external areas of the premises, carrying out fire alarm testing, helping customers with warehouse collections and checking stock for quality control purposes.
A driving licence is essential as the candidate will also be required to drive vans to and from the garage for service or repair, in order to meet the insurance criteria applicants be be over 25 years old. Full training and equipment will be provided though excellent customer service, organisation and communication skills are also vital in this position. We offer FLT training in house, a current FLT certificate would be beneficial but is not essential.
As this is a responsible role the successful candidate will be required to complete a DBS check. As a Warehouse Operative you will be; ·
Picking stock for customer orders.
Locking/unlocking the premises.
Loading & Unloading Vans.
Either be responsible for or assisting the warehouse manager and working with other drivers to pick and load vans.
Assisting with the unloading of containers.
Using the FLT when qualified to stack boxes on racking.
Driving 3.5 ton Luton box vans and LWB Sprinter vans.
Taking some cash payments.
Carrying out vehicle checks.
Providing first class customer service.
Health and Safety compliance. ·
Upkeep of the premises inside and out.
