Are you a skilled Field Service Engineer with experience servicing diesel engines and commissioning Flybrid, Hybrid, or Sync packages? Our client, based near Walsall, is looking for a dedicated professional to join their growing team, delivering on-site engineering services to meet the highest standards and ensure customer satisfaction.

* Working hours: 08:0016:30 MonThu, finish 15:30 Fri
* Paid door-to-door travel when field based
The Role: As a Field Service Engineer, you will:
* Carry out planned services and maintenance of company equipment
* Fault find and diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues accurately
* Identify and use specialist equipment and connectors as required
* Set up equipment per contract customer and manufacturer specifications
* Modify generator fleet as instructed by the Technical Manager
* Attend equipment breakdowns and participate in the on-call rota
* Support team development through training and adherence to management systems (Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality)
* Handle ad hoc technical duties as needed
The Candidate: The ideal Field Service Engineer will have:
* Experience repairing diesel engines and mechanical/electrical systems
* Knowledge of electronic systems and mechanical components (including engines and alternators)
* Flybrid, Hybrid, or Sync package commissioning experience
* Deep Sea knowledge and synchronising experience
* Excellent IT and communication skills
* Ability to work autonomously under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
* Confident, professional, and customer-focused
* AVR experience advantageous but not essential
