Location: Sheffield (with travel across Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, East Midlands, and Northants)
Hours: Full-Time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £23,000 per annum

Your Role
As a Participation Officer, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of children in our care. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their community. Your responsibilities will include:
* Organizing engaging activities and workshops for children in our care and those who foster.
* Planning family events and fun days out.
* Building strong relationships with regional colleagues, foster parents, and external professionals.
* Attending meetings with professionals from education, health, and social services to support care plans.
* Maintaining clear and accurate records.
* Staying updated with professional standards, legislation, and company policies, including confidentiality and safeguarding.
* Providing support and guidance to families to promote stable foster placements.
About You
We are looking for someone who is not only qualified but also deeply committed to advocating for children. Ideally, you will have:
* Experience working with children and young people, ensuring their voices are heard.
* Understanding of the challenges faced by children who have experienced trauma.
* A relevant qualification in childcare, education, social work, or a related field.
* Excellent communication skills to build rapport with children and adults alike.
* The ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
* Good written skills and intermediate IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
* A full driving license and access to your own vehicle.
* Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
