Key Responsibilities: We are looking to recruit casual Client Driver/Attendant(s) into our Passenger Transport Team at Halton Borough Council. You will transport SEN Children and Vulnerable Adults. We are looking for employees that display the qualities to enhance an existing professional and well established transport service. The role will primarily be responsible for transporting vulnerable adults and special educational needs children from their homes to various educational establishments and settings within and outside of the borough of Halton. Hours: Split-shifts: Monday to Friday Morning shift-3 hours/Afternoon shift-3 hours (Term Time Only) Each shift may have an operational difference that may require a slight variation in length of each shift that covers the daily 6 hour shift. More specific responsibilities include: Safely transport and escort clients door-to-door between their homes and designated destinations. Assist clients before, during, and after journeys, ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Act as a point of contact between clients and relevant services, reporting any concerns about their health or welfare. Report missed collections or non-contact with clients immediately and keep passenger lists up to date. Follow procedures for moving and handling, emergency response, disability awareness, and first aid. Comply with all health and safety requirements, including the safe use of wheelchair restraints and vehicle equipment. Maintain professional standards by not consuming alcohol, smoking, or using mobile phones while driving. Inspect, clean, and complete daily checks and log sheets for vehicles. Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role and grade as required. About you: The successful candidate must hold a Level 2 in Numeracy & Literacy or equivalent, as well as a full UK Driving License (category D1). In addition you will: Have great communication skills. Be able to work as part of a team. Be a caring individual.
