The Role
Our client is looking for a motivated and creative Community and Corporate Fundraising Officer to play a key role in growing their fundraising income and supporter base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, generating new ideas, and making a real difference within a charitable organisation.
Community Fundraising
* Build and strengthen relationships with existing supporters and engage new supporters within the local community
* Develop and deliver an annual community fundraising calendar, including events and challenges
* Promote fundraising activities through social media, the website, and local networks
* Think creatively to generate new fundraising ideas and opportunities
* Maintain accurate records of supporters, participants, and sponsors
* Identify and apply for prizes and awards to raise the charity’s profile
Corporate Fundraising
* Manage and grow existing corporate partnerships
* Identify and approach new corporate supporters to secure donations and employee engagement
* Promote fundraising events and challenges to corporate partners
* Develop and maintain a database and engagement strategy for corporate prospects
General Fundraising & Communications
* Support the Charity Manager and Board of Trustees with fundraising and communications strategies
* Monitor and review fundraising performance against targets
* Represent the charity at events, meetings, and presentations
* Ensure fundraising content on the website is accurate and up to date
* Collect case studies, photographs, and supporter stories
* Attend networking events and respond to fundraising enquiries
Volunteers
* Recruit, induct, manage, and support fundraising volunteers
* Supervise volunteers at events and activities
The Candidate
You Will Have
* Experience in fundraising, community engagement, or corporate partnerships
* Confidence networking and presenting to a wide range of audiences
* Experience organising or supporting events
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* The ability to manage your workload independently and meet deadlines
* Good IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
* A positive, proactive, can‑do attitude
* Experience working in a charity (ideally within a disability or community‑focused organisation) is desirable
The Terms
This position is being offered on a part‑time basis of 30 hours per week with flexibility how these hours are managed (some evening / weekend work will be required). Salary is open to negotiation, depending on experience and an office presence of a minimum of once a fortnight based in their Luton offices.
