HGV Technician Required in Brighton & Hove, West Sussex
* Basic Salary Up to £35,000
* On Target Earnings £40,000 +
* Commercial Vehicle Main Dealer
* Mon – Fri 07:00 – 16:00, 1 in 2 Saturdays 08:00 – 14:00 (paid at overtime)
* Occasional Cover for Late shift 15:00 – 22:00 - £45 shift allowance
Our Client, a family-owned company for over 100 years with multiple locations across the Southeast, is currently seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their friendly team. They have a great reputation for being a family-friendly business and provide a positive working environment. They are well-established within the Commercial Vehicle sector with strong manufacturer support.
Our client has a reputable presence in the market and within the local area. They operate a large and successful service department and are looking to expand their team of HGV Mechanics to meet increasing demand. They represent a market-leading brand within the Commercial Vehicle Sector and have strong ties to the HGV Manufacturer.
Ideally, our client is seeking applications from candidates with previous experience in the repair and maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles, though applications from similar industries such as Coach or Bus Mechanics will also be considered.

Duties of an HGV Technician with our Client:
* Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to VOSA standard
* Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
* Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
* Liaise with parts department to attain parts
* Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to, ensure appropriate clocking is made, all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner
* Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
* Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses
What our client expects of their HGV Technician:
* Preferably qualified within Heavy vehicle service and maintenance – Level 2 or 3
* Other Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician) or Time Served
* Level 1 HGV Qualified with experience may be considered
* Current driving licence
* HGV Licence isn’t essential but preferable
* Able to work independently and well with a team
* Comfortable with reporting jobs via an IT-based system
