Job Description We are looking for an experienced Quality and Compliance Manager to join a leading food manufacturing business in Milton Keynes. This role offers the opportunity to lead site quality systems, drive compliance, and support continuous improvement within a highly regulated environment. The Quality and Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all quality, safety, and compliance standards are maintained in line with BRCGS, HACCP, customer COPs, and legal requirements. You will work closely with operational teams to uphold best practices, lead audits, and manage customer and regulatory interactions. This position requires a proactive leader who can support teams, resolve non-conformances, and ensure that the site remains audit-ready at all times. As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will also contribute to training, policy development, and implementing robust quality management systems. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the site Quality and Compliance function. Ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, retailer COPs, ISO, and regulatory standards. Manage internal and external audits, driving corrective and preventive actions. Oversee quality systems, documentation, and KPI reporting. Support operational teams to maintain hygiene, housekeeping, and food safety standards. Act as the primary contact for customers and regulatory bodies on compliance matters. Train and mentor staff to build a strong food safety and compliance culture. Key Requirements Proven experience as a Quality and Compliance Manager (or similar role within food/FMCG manufacturing). Strong knowledge of BRCGS, HACCP, ISO standards, and food safety legislation. NEBOSH experience (Health & Safety qualification) highly desirable. Food Safety Level 3 qualification. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability. Confident communicator, able to work with both internal teams and external auditors/customers.
