Why join us

Joining Sainsbury's as a Social Media Associate means being part of a dynamic team that values creativity, innovation, and connection with our customers. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Social Media Lead to shape and execute organic social media strategies that engage our audience across Instagram, TikTok, and Meta. With access to cutting‑edge tools and platforms, as well as support from various agencies and teams, you will have the resources and guidance needed to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and make a meaningful impact on our brand's social media presence. What you'll do

As a Social Media Associate at Sainsbury's, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Social Media Lead in managing the organic social media channels. You will be responsible for creating organic social content, focusing on campaign, always‑on, and reactive content, aligning with the brand strategy and customer plan.

Working closely with the Social Media Lead, you will craft engaging captions for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Meta, while owning the social media calendar and assisting in the creation of the organic social media strategy.

Additionally, you will collaborate with Zest, our in‑house agency to facilitate the creation of organic social content, maintain the brand's social presence across platforms, and ensure compliance with social media governance guidelines. Your ability to track, measure, and report on social activity, along with your knowledge of social media tools and platforms, will be essential in driving the brand's social media success.

Who you are

As a Social Media Associate at Sainsbury's, you are a creative and strategic individual with a deep understanding of social media platforms and content creation, particularly on Instagram, Meta, and TikTok.

With a passion for staying ahead of social trends and generating engaging content, you demonstrate excellent project management skills and cross‑functional collaboration to drive successful social media initiatives. Your experience in working with digital media and agencies, coupled with your proficiency in social media tools and platforms, equips you to maintain the brand's social presence and contribute to the development of organic social media strategies.

Your ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, solve problems independently, and manage multiple priorities showcases your strong organisational skills and adaptability in delivering impactful social media campaigns.
