A specialist provision in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team supporting children and young people with complex physical disabilities, profound learning difficulties, and associated medical needs. Role Overview: Provide personalised support with daily living activities including personal care, feeding, mobility, and medical routines Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum through tailored, therapeutic approaches Work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care and education Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive Support communication using a variety of methods including Makaton, PECS, or other augmentative systems (training provided) Ideal Learning Support Assistant: Experience working in a care role, supporting individuals with complex needs, is highly desirable Patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting children with profound disabilities Willingness to learn educational strategies and therapeutic approaches Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support Relevant training or qualifications (e.g., NVQ in Health & Social Care) are advantageous but not essential Term Time Teachers are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, therefore all applicants will be subject to a full face-to-face registration and an Enhanced DBS (Formerly known as CRB)
