Rotational Occupational Therapist

Main duties of the job
* Medicine (including respiratory and the acute medical unit)
* Orthopaedics (elective)
* Acute Stroke
* Stroke rehabilitation
* Emergency Department - AHP Team
* Participate in the Band 5 rotation scheme within Fairfield General Hospital in Bury .
* Provide autonomous assessments and interventions, for own designated caseload of patients; with support and supervision for more complex needs.
* Maintain clinical responsibility for own caseload and that of delegated tasks.
* Be aware of your own limitations and competency, seeking senior support when required.
* Provide support and training for junior staff and students.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent
* HCPC registration
Experience
* Completion of broad range of undergraduate placements
* Evidence of undergraduate CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
knowledge and skills
* Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to underpin relevant clinical skills and clinical reasoning
* Effective team working
* Experience of liaison with other professionals and partnership working
* Ability to use effective clinical reasoning
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work within a stressful and unpredictable environment
