Who are we?
We’re transforming one of the last untapped industries where billion-dollar enterprises still rely on pen and paper. Inspections are critical to global safety, yet the technology behind them still mostly functions on manual processes.
Every day, over a million inspectors manually assess infrastructure, factories, and goods using processes that haven’t evolved in decades. The result? Delays, errors, and billions in losses. We’re using AI to change that - building a future where inspections are instant, precise, and fully automated. Our product initially automates inspection report writing but we see it as a new way to collect and analyse data from the field.
We’ve raised an oversubscribed pre-seed round totalling $4M from tier-one investors (who backed Stripe, Lime, Discord, Flexport // 1 in 10 unicorn hit rate from seed).
Since launching this year, we’ve started working with some of the largest Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) companies globally increasing inspection throughput and giving inspectors their nights and weekends back.
We’ve on-track with a multi-million dollar run-rate and to raise our Series A in 6 months, we’ve never seen such strong market pull for a product in all the companies we’ve worked for.
About this role
We’re looking for an AI Product Engineer to ship the next generation of inspection products.
You’ll own fullstack AI-native features end to end — from quick spikes to production rollouts — and get valuable tools into inspectors’ hands fast.
You’ll turn decades of industrial knowledge and data into usable software: document extraction, technical drawing understanding, and AI-powered reporting experiences. Critically this means you’ll spend time on chemical plants, refineries and more to closely understand user experiences.
You’ll integrate pragmatic, best-in-class models and pair them with reliable backend systems to deliver fast, trustworthy workflows. You might finetune small models, but we look for speed of iteration, not 6 week development projects.
This role focuses on product delivery and user impact over novel research, applying AI where it creates clear value.
What You’ll Do:
* Build and ship AI-powered features end to end, from spike to production, across backend and frontend where needed.
* Implement and integrate leading AI models (especially LLMs) to solve real customer problems, balancing accuracy, speed, and cost.
* Develop backend systems and processing engines (primarily Python; TypeScript a bonus) that power reporting and data extraction at scale and with reliability.
* Work closely with users and internal stakeholders to refine problems, iterate quickly, and improve time-to-value for inspectors and TIC partners.
* Own the quality of what you ship — sensible defaults, robust error handling, and basic observability to guide iteration.
* Tackle unique challenges in industrial AI, such as enabling software to understand and process technical drawings and decades of heterogeneous documents.
* Contribute to a scalable, AI-driven reporting layer that transforms how industrial data is collected, processed, and used.
Who you are:
* You’ve shipped AI products end to end and care about user value, not just models.
* Full-stack with a backend lean: comfortable in Python, with TypeScript a plus; able to stitch together services, APIs, and simple UIs to deliver outcomes.
* You bias toward LLMs when they fit, understand classical ML techniques when they’re better, and choose pragmatically based on the problem.
* Product-minded: you think through user experience and make tradeoffs that improve adoption and speed.
* You act with high agency and can figure out the 20% that will drive 80% of the results.
* You’re comfortable rapidly spiking ideas, validating them with users, and hardening the winners into maintainable, robust features.
* You’ve worked on AI products and can speak to impact: what you shipped, how users used it, and what moved.

What is it like to work here?
At our early stage, we care about reducing communication latency, and moving quickly. That’s why we work in person five days a week from our sunny office near Farringdon. We believe being together helps us move faster and solve problems more effectively. It’s also just a lot more fun.
We work hard, and commit ourselves to the most ambitious outcomes possible. This translates into long working hours at our stage of the company.
That said, we understand that life happens, and flexibility is important when personal situations arise.
If you’re looking for rigid structure, this might not be the place for you. But if you’re excited about shaping the future of AI-powered automation, taking true ownership, and working directly with enterprise customers to make an immediate impact, then this is the place.
Our Values
* Work Ethic – Creating value takes grit, dedication, and relentless effort and mostly undeniable agency.
* Excellence – We raise the bar every day and expect world-class execution and we’re proud of the team when we execute.
* Long-term ambition – We are driven by the work we need to do, not by the work that we have done. We care about building in a way that gives us long term wins, and enables the company to succeed in the long term.
We believe great ideas come from diverse perspectives. We’re committed to building an inclusive team where everyone - regardless of background, identity, or experience - feels valued and empowered to do their best work. If you're excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply!
