Direct Works Operative (Full time – 37 hrs per week)
£27,254 per annum plus overtime payments Pay award pending
The postholder will be required to work on all disciplines within the Direct Works Section. The main focus of duties will be grass cutting, general grounds maintenance work, litter picking, grave digging, cleansing operations along with future activities that the postholder will be expected to carry out as part of the Town Council’s flexible working agreement. The postholder must have knowledge and experience of working with a variety of ride-on and petrol driven machinery. You must have the ability to communicate effectively with the public and will be required to work in other service areas within the Direct Works Section as required.
A full driving licence is essential. Overtime and weekend working are a requirement of the post. Knowledge of Horticulture or other transferable skills within this sector of work is preferred.
