We have been exclusively engaged by a growing credit fund, that are looking to hire a qualified Fund Accountant to join their London finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at a key point in its growth, the team continues to grow and expand its credit strategies while the existing funds perform well.
The firm is known for its collaborative, collegiate high‑performing culture and for giving finance professionals genuine exposure to the investment team and senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development of the fund finance function, with scope to take ownership, add value, and grow alongside the platform. They have a number of interesting change initiatives ongoing that this individual will be able to be involved in.
Responsibilities
* Produce accurate and timely fund and management accounts for credit funds and related vehicles
* Oversee accounting for credit portfolios, including NAV calculations, accruals, valuations and P&L analysis
* Manage the relationship with third‑party administrators, reviewing deliverables and ensuring robust controls
* Support quarterly and annual reporting cycles, including investor reporting and financial statements
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and assist with audit deliverables
* Work closely with the investment team to provide financial insight on portfolio performance and new deals
* Assist with process improvement and the ongoing development of a scalable fund finance platform
Required skills and experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in fund accounting within a credit or private debt environment
* Strong understanding of credit products and fund structures
* Experience working with outsourced fund administrators
* Solid knowledge of IFRS and fund financial reporting requirements
* Strong Excel skills and confidence handling complex financial data
* Proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
* Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
