About Us
Tender Care is an Ofsted rated 'Good' 31 place, private day nursery, located within 10- minute walk from Croydon town centre. We offer full time and part time care to children aged between 3 months and 5 years of age. We have since expanded our services and now have 2 additional branches.
We are looking for someone to be part of our nursery team and community and we offer training and ongoing professional development plus workplace pension. The Job
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic qualified nursery practitioners to join our private day care setting in Canterbury Road Croydon. We have positions across our setting - in which you will play a lead role in supporting the room manager and deputy. You will be working alongside a dedicated and knowledgeable staff team.
As a senior nursery practitioner you are a key member of the nursery team responsible for delivering high quality care and learning opportunities for children, based on the needs and interests of those children, you will also role-model and help train apprentices within the setting. There is the possibility of progression to a more senior position, for the right candidate. Some of the duties will include:
· Promoting positive relationships with parents, children and colleagues.
· Ensure health and safety and well-being of the children.
· Support the children's development, learning and play.
· Be a key person for a small group of children, carrying out all related responsibilities and building relationships with them and their families.
· Providing inspiration to nursery children through exciting activities in all areas of learning whilst incorporating the EYFS.
· Two Year Progress Checks/Transfer Reports.
We are looking for experienced nursery nurses who have an NNEB or possess an NVQ 3 in childcare OR above to join our growing team.
The following requirements are also essential:
· To have worked with under 5's in a nursery environment.
· Possess an NVQ 2 or 3.
· The ability to write quality observations.
· Possess a sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
· Planning skills & Tracking skills or experience.
Desirable:
· Possess a rolling DBS
· Paediatric First Aid
· Safeguarding Children
· Knowledge and experience of compiling 2 year old progress checks and/or transfer reports
· SENCO training
Other:
40 hours a week 8 hour shifts between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm Monday-Friday.
Option of compressed hours also available - working pattern: 4 days of 8:00am-6:00pm and 1 day of 9:00-1:00pm
Flexibility is essential - Typical shift eg: 7:45-17:00, 08:30-17:30, 08:45-17:45, 09:00-18:00

Salary ranges from £12.50 -£ dependent on age and experience.
