Contract: Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover 12 months
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)
Salary: £38,500-£47,500 depending on experience
The Role
You will take ownership of the collection, validation, cleansing and transformation of data for a defined asset class within British Business Bank. You will act as the single accountable owner for key enterprise data, ensuring accurate and timely information is available to support product performance and Board reporting.
You will combine software delivery with the task management of data analysts who hold SME knowledge across the portfolio. You will be expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of Power BI delivery while leading junior team members through delivery tracking, code reviews, and effective task management.
You will manage the transport, transformation and quality assurance of raw data, coordinate analyst pool activity to meet production schedules, and ensure reporting outputs meet the needs of senior stakeholders and external audiences. Your work will support a wide range of programmes, including Covid and Recovery Loan Scheme initiatives.
You will bring extensive experience in Power BI, PowerQuery and DAX, alongside a sound understanding of database design and controlled development practices. You will be confident working with financial data, monitoring data quality, and applying recognised data visualisation principles.
You will demonstrate advanced analytical thinking, effective data management capability and the confidence and tact to challenge stakeholder requirements constructively. Excellent interpersonal skills, tenacity and the ability to deliver accurate outputs within fixed deadlines will be essential to your success.
