Industrial Automation Application Engineer – South East UK, you must live within this area.
Please note: You must be a full UK citizen living and working in the UK to be considered for this opportunity. You must also have relevant industrial automation application support experience covering electric drives, pneumatics, control systems, and PLC programming.
This is a great opportunity to join one of the leading industrial automation equipment suppliers as an Application Engineer covering South East UK. The successful candidate will be required to live in the South East area of the UK. This is a work-from-home role.
The Application Engineer is an expert and provides the best technical consulting and solutions for key Industrial Automation applications to the Sales Teams during pre-sales, considering commercial aspects when proposing solutions and supporting ongoing projects. Since each Application Engineer has their own specific expertise, for this role, commissioning, software, and controls functionalities are required fields of expertise.
Key Aspects of the Role:
1. Independently translate multi-technological solutions into detailed designs in pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, and software areas using the latest technologies.
2. Assess technical feasibility of proposals based on industry/technology segment knowledge.
3. Prepare specification lists and write technical elements for customer proposals.
4. Create Requirement Specifications with the customer.
5. Ensure deadlines are met and oversee project realization.
6. Report on activities and developments related to projects and manage project data accurately.
7. Handle complaints by establishing action plans if necessary.
8. Discuss machine concepts to optimize and define specifications and concepts.
9. Support the drafting of account plans.
10. Act as an interface between the customer and relevant departments during pre-sales, in coordination with sales engineers.
11. Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to the team for specific products and applications.
12. Support compliance with norms and regulations.
13. Identify and support project wins.
14. Manage project commissioning at customer sites, coordinating technical activities.
15. Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
