Job Description
Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and customer-focused individual to join our team in a hybrid role that offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to be part of a supportive team. This is a split role where your time will be divided between Driving duties - Delivering our high-quality products to customer premises in a professional and timely manner and Branch Support - Assisting with yard operations, including loading, and unloading vehicles, and supporting day-to-day branch activities

This role involves:
1. Delivering a wide range of high-quality Civils and Drainage products to customers in Colchester and the surrounding areas. In this role, you will be expected to
2. Ensure efficient & safe operation of the vehicle
3. Strive to complete on time delivery of orders to JDP customers
4. Comply with all vehicle and drivers' legislation
5. Providing customers with product and service information
6. Pick customer orders accurately
7. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
8. Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
9. Serve customers on the trade counter when required
10. Customer interaction
Qualifications
Essential:
11. Class C Licence
12. Some Driver CPC training
13. Digital driving licence (tacho card)
14. An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
15. Detailed understanding of driver procedures “driving hours rules & regulations”
16. Experience in efficient route planning
17. Excellent communication and customer service
Required:
18. Excellent customer service skills
19. Literacy & Numeracy
Desirable:
20. Warehouse/yard experience
21. A good knowledge of computers
22. Forklift truck licence
