Key job responsibilities - Managing and developing teams of technicians, providing both technical and leadership expertise and ensuring highest levels of performance - Maintaining existing co-located and in-house Data Centers - Helping build and bring online new Data Centers - Constantly improving all our processes and procedures. We believe there is nothing we cannot improve - Assisting & managing relationships with external vendors & contractors - Liaising with internal teams & management groups - Ensuring we adhere to and exceed local Health & Safety standards in all our Data Centers - Creating and maintaining metrics on all aspects of our Data Centers and utilizing those metrics to drive positive changes - Assisting in implementing service methodologies including incident management, problem management, change management and capacity management Basic Qualifications - Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication - Experience in Incident Management, Threat Management, Corporate Investigations, Law Enforcement, Security Operations, Crisis Management or a related field that involves conducting threat assessments, workplace investigations, and/or incident response - Experience with budgeting, scheduling and cost reports - 5 years of people management experience within an IT environment - Understands safety control measures in a critical environment Preferred Qualifications - Experience in systems administration (Linux or Windows) - Knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Lean techniques, PMP or similar standards preferred - Experience working in data centers or critical infrastructure - Experience in one or more IT infrastructure domains (storage, compute, networking, security, software development, systems administration, database engineering or administration, machine learning, cloud infrastructure, big data, DevOps, or other IT infrastructure domain) - Experience in safety and security measures, ITIL foundation Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
