JOB TITLE: Quantity Surveyor
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring cost efficiency and profitability. You will also focus on commercial management, taking responsibility for contract management, cost control, procurement, and reporting.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Cost Estimation & Planning: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for architectural metalwork projects from tender to completion.
Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs to ensure financial efficiency and profitability.
Procurement: Manage the procurement of materials, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring value for money.
Contract Management: Oversee the administration of contracts, including assessing contractual obligations, risks, and financial performance.
Valuation & Payment Applications: Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and payment applications in line with contractual terms.
Change Management: Manage project variations and change orders, ensuring all additional costs are captured and reported.
Risk Management: Identify commercial risks and opportunities to mitigate losses and maximize profits.
Project Reporting: Prepare regular cost and value reports, providing clear visibility of project profitability.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.
Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
GENERAL:
Willing to Travel as the role requires
Knowledge of NEC3 contracts
Knowledge of JCT contracts
