Job Summary
KL Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation for an experienced and driven Regional Transport Manager to oversee transport and fleet operations across the Wrexham region.This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective transport operations while driving operational performance and continuous improvement. The role will require regular travel to additional operational sites to provide leadership oversight and maintain compliance standards across the wider region.The RoleAs Regional Transport Manager, you will take full responsibility for regional fleet and transport activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high service standards.You will work closely with senior leadership to support business growth, manage operational risk, and lead a high-performing transport team across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage regional transport operations, including fleet, drivers, and routing
* Travel to additional sites to provide operational support, compliance oversight, and leadership
* Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and Operator Licence requirements
* Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, inspections, and defect reporting processes
* Manage transport budgets, fuel usage, and cost control initiatives
* Implement and monitor KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics
* Conduct driver inductions, training, and performance reviews
* Maintain high standards of health & safety across all operations
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to support operational growth
* Drive continuous improvement in efficiency, compliance, and service delivery
About You
* CPC qualified (Transport Manager CPC – National or International)
* Proven experience in transport/fleet management within a multi-drop operation
* Strong knowledge of DVSA regulations and Operator Licence compliance
* Experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
* Strong commercial and analytical mindset
* Proficient in transport management systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable:
* ADR knowledge or experience (advantageous)
* Experience within utilities, energy, or field-based operations
* Knowledge of route optimisation software
* Experience implementing fleet sustainability initiatives
Working Hours
* Basic Weekly Hours: 40 hours
* Working Pattern: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm
* Includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break
* Overtime may be required in line with business needs
