Overview
Blatchington Mill School seeks a Facilities Support Assistant to join the Facilities Team at this popular and successful comprehensive secondary school within the local authority of Brighton & Hove. This is a large site and we are very proud of our fabulous grounds and facilities. We have made significant investment in our premises over recent times and are looking for someone to help with their upkeep.
Contract and hours
Required as soon as possible. 37 hrs pw, work Term Time plus 2 weeks (41 weeks) paid 47.36 weeks. Core hours 8am – 4pm with a half hour unpaid break Monday to Thursday, and 8am – 3.30pm on Friday.
Salary
NJ C Scale 3 scale points 7-8 Actual Salary range £24,047 – £24,430
Responsibilities
* Carry out basic grounds work, waste management, recycling and some cleaning as part of the Facilities Team.
* Support the safety and welfare of the school community; contribute to site upkeep and related duties.
* Work independently where appropriate, while being part of the facilities team.
* This is a physical role, often outdoors, and requires the ability to cope with inclement weather.
