Description Wood is recruiting for an Engineering Summer Placement to join its Operations team focusing on engineering activities as directed by Senior/Principal/Lead Engineers on the project. Activities will typically include the production of Engineering deliverables associated with engineering studies alongside project technical support. Designing the future. Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with Leads instructions against agreed budget and schedule Providing documentation and drawing deliverables on time to meet project deadlines Taking part and contributing to engineering design meetings Producing cost effective designs that are fit for purpose and safe Provide technical assistance where required Review work / work output as required Qualifications Qualifications: Working towards an Undergraduate Engineering degree - Required Knowledge of: Awareness of either Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical and Pharmaceutical sectors Experience of: Design / Simulation work A commitment to continuous learning and development Ability to: Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to build good working relationships within teams Highly organised and ability to prioritise tasks Must be able to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy (attention to detail is critical) Personal attributes: Have energy and enthausiam To take on challenges and be a problem solver Work to and champion Wood’s core values Work ethicially and achieve required standards Excellent customer service / client facing skills Have a service driven orientation to all identified project stakeholders (internal/external), being responsive to their needs and effectively managing expectations Be agile and receptive to change Work effectively across different cultures Connect and establish effective working relationships (inside & outside of Wood) Strong verbal and written communication skills
