Legal Counsel, VP – Investment Services
Purpose of Role
A senior position within the Investment Services UKMEA legal team, responsible for advising the business on legal matters related to its services and operations.
Role Responsibilities
* Draft, negotiate and advise on a wide range of service agreements, including custody, fund accounting, investment analytics, and complex middle‑office/data outsourcing arrangements for clients such as asset managers, asset owners, insurers and public institutions.
* Assess legal and regulatory implications relevant to the business' activities.
* Support strategic initiatives, including drafting and negotiating heads of terms for new opportunities.
* Work with senior legal, business, risk and compliance stakeholders to deliver commercially aligned outcomes under tight deadlines.
* Contribute to new product development, expansion into new jurisdictions and broader group‑wide legal projects.
* Collaborate with legal teams across other business lines and regions.
* Engage, instruct and manage external counsel.
Qualifications
* Minimum 8 years' PQE.

* Background in a leading law firm.
* Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice.
* Experience in financial services, commercial contracts/outsourcing and/or M&A.
* Solution‑driven mindset with the ability to navigate complex issues and multiple stakeholders.
