Overview
We’re looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small, dynamic team at Midforest Vets. Our Lyndhurst site is nestled in the heart of the New Forest, housed in a charming, thatched cottage that’s been serving the local community for over 35 years.
A role with variety
In this role, you’ll be involved in a variety of clinical and patient care duties. Your responsibilities will include running nurse clinics, providing exceptional inpatient care, assisting with laboratory work and diagnostic imaging, and monitoring anaesthesia during surgical procedures. You’ll also place IV catheters, triage emergency cases, and play an important role in ensuring the smooth daily running of the practice.
Team and Culture
Our close-knit team creates a supportive and collaborative environment where everyone works together to provide the best possible care. Across both sites, our team includes 4 full-time vets, 2 regular locums, 6 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student nurse, and 5 receptionists. One of our vets is currently undertaking a Dental Certificate, while others have developed special interests through extensive CPD in areas such as dermatology, dentistry, and radiography. At Midforest Vets, we take pride in our friendly team spirit, our supportive culture, and our dedication to delivering exceptional veterinary care. You’ll be joining a practice that combines traditional values with modern veterinary medicine - all set in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, offering flexibility to suit your lifestyle. You can choose between a compressed 4-day week or a standard 5-day week. The position includes participation in a 1-in-5 Saturday rota (8:30am-12:30pm). You’ll be primarily based at our Lyndhurst practice, with occasional support required at our Totton branch.
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for a qualified RVN who is confident working both independently and collaboratively within a team. You’ll be someone who takes pride in building strong, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues alike. Above all, we’re seeking a proactive and compassionate individual with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
