Planned Maintenance & Servicing - Carry out routine servicing and maintenance on diesel generators across customer-owned and rental fleets.
Repairs & Diagnostics - Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs to ensure minimal downtime and high customer satisfaction.
Site Surveys - Conduct site surveys to determine service needs and maintenance requirements.
On-Call Support - Participate in an on-call rota to provide support outside standard working hours.
Health & Safety Compliance - Follow all Health & Safety policies and maintain clean, safe work environments, including company vehicles.
Comply with ISO standards (ISO 9001, 45001, 14001, 50001) and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required
Technical Background
• Qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant Maintenance (City & Guilds, BTEC or similar).
• OR completion of an approved Mechanical/Electrical Engineering apprenticeship.
• Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets (FG Wilson, Cummins or similar) essential.
Core Skills
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
Industry Experience
• Prior field service experience advantageous.
Additional Requirements
• Full driving licence.
• Strong customer focus with the ability to deliver efficient, high-quality service.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• ECS/CSCS or CCNSG competency card preferred (training available if needed)
