Job Purpose
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bid Writer to join our team. The Bid Writer will be responsible for creating compelling proposals and bids in response to client requests and tenders. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure across several tenders.
* *Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the business development team to understand client needs and requirements
* Research and gather relevant information to create accurate and persuasive bid documents
* Write and edit proposal content, ensuring all information is relevant, accurate, and well-organised
* Manage multiple bids simultaneously, adhering to strict deadlines and submission requirements
* Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and resources for bids
* Review and revise bid documents to ensure quality and accuracy
* Maintain a database of previous bid documents and templates for future reference
* Stay current on industry trends and best practices for bid writing
* Create case studies showcasing past achievements
* Proofreading and reviewing all submissions from other Bid Team members
Skills/Qualifications
* Knowledge and background working within the social housing industry, specialising in either M&E, Retrofit or Renewable Energy
* Proven experience as a Bid Writer or similar role
* Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft persuasive and compelling proposals
* Excellent research and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other bid writing software tools
* Experience in the M&E, Renewable Energy, or related industry is a plus
* Knowledge and background working within the social housing industry, specialising in either M&E, Retrofit or Renewable Energy.
