Job Opportunity: Clinical Nurse Specialist / Social Worker
Are you a Nurse or social worker passionate about working with neurodivergent children and young people in Bucks? We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist / Social Worker to join our Child and Young Person mental health team in Buckinghamshire.
You will be part of a friendly, supportive, and well-established multi-professional team specializing in neurodevelopmental assessments for children aged 5-17 years. You will receive quality reflective supervision, utilize your skills to deliver assessments and interventions, and contribute to service improvements. As a vital team member, you will help understand the complete identity of young people, including their neurodivergence, mental health, and developmental profile. Your responsibilities include providing assessments for Autism and ADHD in line with NICE guidance, offering neuro-affirming assessment spaces, and supporting the team through MDT collaborations to conclude assessments and communicate outcomes to families.
You will deliver evidence-based clinical practice, participate in reviewing clinical policies, and undertake a lead professional role for a complex caseload of young people. The ability to travel independently between sites within the Trust is essential.
