Project Manager – Automated Warehouse

£85,000 - £100,000 DOE Salary
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Automated warehousing or Data centres to lead the delivery of a project across commercial and industrial environments. This role is responsible for managing projects from design and planning through to commissioning and handover, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end delivery of data centres/automated warehouse across the design, tender and construction stages.
* Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and stakeholders
* Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and resource plans
* Oversee system design reviews, technical submissions, and documentation
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications, and health & safety requirements
* Monitor project progress, manage variations, and report on performance
* Support commissioning, testing, and final handover to the client
* Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and value engineering
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience managing automated warehouses / data centre projects
* Strong understanding of Construction systems, control strategies, and system integration
* Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and control schematics
* Strong commercial awareness, including cost control and contract management
Qualifications (Preferred)
* Chartership - Professional (chartered) qualification (MCIOB, MRICS, MAPM ChPP) or studying towards.
* Construction related degree or a similar construction related qualification with wide-ranging technical delivery experience in a similar role gained within a consultancy.
* CSCS Black Card / SMSTS
