Senior Sous Chef – New Opening | Modern European Restaurant | London
We’re launching an exciting new modern European restaurant in London and are looking for a talented Senior Sous Chef to help lead the kitchen from day one.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new opening, working alongside an experienced Head Chef to shape the menu, build the team, and set the standards.
The Role
As Senior Sous Chef, you will be a key leader in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of running a high-performing brigade and delivering exceptional, seasonal dishes.
Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
* Help recruit, train, and develop the opening team
* Drive consistency, quality, and presentation across all sections
* Assist with menu development and seasonal changes
* Manage ordering, stock control, and kitchen GP targets
* Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always met
* Step up to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up
* Background in quality modern European or premium casual/fine dining kitchens
* Experience with new openings or high-volume quality restaurants is a big plus
* Strong leadership and team development skills
* Organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about great food
