Successful engineering business require a Buyer on a REMOTE basis. Ideally applicants will have both direct (pumps, valves, motors) and indirect (PPE, stationary, office equipment) procurement experience, to support MRO contracts on large infrastructure projects.
The Buyer will join a team of REMOTE working Buyers and Senior Buyers, reporting to a Head of Procurement. The role will focus predominately on sourcing engineering parts and products (valves, pumps, compressors, process equipment, spare parts and MRO items), but also traditional indirect items (PPE, logistics, office equipment, stationary) to support petrochemical and refinery projects.

Specific duties of the Buyer include:
Raising and expediting of purchase orders
Handling customer quotations
Working with data sheets and technical drawings
Finding and selecting new suppliers
Monitor inventory and stock levels
Supplier negotiation and performance management
Ownership of supplier data within ERP system
Buyer applicants should meet the following criteria:
Broad procurement experience - across direct and indirect spend areas would be ideal
Procurement experience within manufacturing, engineering or in support of infrastructure, O&G projects
MRP/ERP literacy
An understanding or experience working within oil, gas or petrochemicals - highly desirable not essential
Comfort in working a 100% remote role
