Where does this role fit in?
As part of our Corporate Finance team, this role plays a critical part in supporting the growth and development of Pobl’s property portfolio – which is set to expand by 10,000 new affordable homes in the coming decade. Reporting to the Head of New Business, Property & Financial Planning, this role ensures our investment decisions are based on rigorous financial analysis and robust accounting practices. It’s a specialist leadership role that bridges the gap between viability, planning, and property accounting – ensuring a seamless process up to the point of property handover.

This is a high-impact role where your financial modelling, analytical insight, and leadership will directly influence how we invest and grow across South Wales. You'll join a team on a job share basis, working 24 hours per week, and lead a small team focused on evaluating new opportunities.
Using Excel, option appraisal tools, and Brixx, you’ll provide clear insights and help shape multi-million-pound decisions.
You will work across multiple functions – from development and asset management to care and support – supporting business planning, option appraisals, financial analysis, audit, and compliance.
It’s varied, challenging, and makes a real difference to the communities we serve.
What Skills and Experience do you need?
We’re Looking For Someone Who Is
* A qualified CCAB accountant with advanced Excel skills (Brixx modelling skills desirable)
* Analytical, detail-focused, and confident in challenging assumptions
* Experienced in evaluating capital investment schemes and ideally revenue viabilities in care and support settings
* Knowledgeable about property accounting and its role in the development lifecycle
* A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
* An experienced team leader, able to develop others and foster high performance
* Methodical and able to manage complex, competing priorities
* Enthusiastic about improving systems and processes across the Group
