Performing ultrasonic NDT whilst maintaining full traceability of all formal Engineering, Manufacturing and Business documents, ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements. Assisting in the up-keep of the NDT section in line with NADCAP / customer requirements. Identifying the scope and limitations of the technique / methods of which the department resource, equipment & processes are certified. Identifying areas and propose solutions, wherever possible, to reduce costs and maximise profit. Conducting periodic maintenance checks (daily, weekly and monthly). Delivering all tasks required by your stakeholders to a high standard on time and in full. Working with the Level 3 & Engineering teams, review & refine ultrasonic NDT processes in accordance with requirements. Completing the necessary NDT documentation to the required acceptable standard. To be available as support to the Level 3 for customer interface / assistance issues including travel abroad (if and when necessary). Setting up and preparation of components and equipment ready for inspection. Assisting in the development of trainee Level 1 & Level 2 operators in the inspection of components in line with the current technique sheets / procedures, ultimately resulting in their achieving formal certification.
