Long-Term Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer / Section Engineer / Sub Agent to join a leading Tier 1 contractor on a major infrastructure project based in Oxford. This is a long-term opportunity offering stability and the chance to work on high-profile works.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing site engineering activities, including surveying and setting out
* Managing and mentoring junior engineers and site staff
* Ensuring compliance with QA/QC and quality standards
* Maintaining accurate site records, documentation, and site diaries
* Producing and managing look-ahead programmes
* Carrying out material take-offs and quantifying aggregates from drawings
* Supporting delivery of works involving CBGM and PQ concrete (preferred)
* Liaising with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Requirements
* Experience in a Senior Engineer, Section Engineer, or Sub Agent role
* Strong AutoCAD and surveying / setting out capability
* Proven experience with quality checks and documentation
* Ability to mentor and lead junior team members
* Experience with material quantification and take-offs
* Knowledge of CBGM and PQ concrete (desirable)
* Must be a UK national or hold relevant clearance (e.g. BBP / National Highways)
* Full UK driving licence
