Trial Balance Consulting are thrilled to be working with a fantastic, well-established business in Exeter that’s looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their friendly finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career in a supportive, technology-driven environment where no two days are the same.
In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for supplier enquiries, keeping the accounts running smoothly and helping the team stay on top of payments. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the business, manage supplier invoices and purchase orders, reconcile statements, and assist with month-end processes. You’ll also have the chance to contribute to system improvements and ongoing accounting projects, gaining experience in a modern, fast-paced finance function.
We’re looking for someone with 2-3 years recent finance experience, either part or fully AAT qualified, or with equivalent practical experience. You’ll need to be numerate, detail-oriented, and comfortable learning new systems quickly. Strong IT skills are essential, with experience of SAGE and MS Excel being a big plus. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who’s friendly, proactive, and keen to grow within a supportive team.
