Job Description
1. Manage all aspects of ground-up retail and restaurant construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
2. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project requirements are met and quality standards are upheld.
3. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines, and track progress against established goals.
4. Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction activities, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Review and approve subcontractor bids, change orders, and project invoices, and negotiate contracts as necessary.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to optimize project performance, resolve challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, address concerns, and mitigate risks.
9. Manage project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and other project-related records.
10. Provide leadership and mentorship to project team members, including assistant project managers, superintendents, and support staff.

The Successful Applicant
11. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
12. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a focus on ground-up retail and restaurant projects.
13. Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within budget, and to client satisfaction.
14. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, and regulations.
15. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
16. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
17. Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
18. Experience working for a national general contractor is preferred but not required.
19. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
