The Role
You will assist the Senior Charge Midwife to deliver high quality evidence based woman and baby centred will be involved in providing both individualised patient care and in planning, implementing and evaluating clinical care within all areas of the maternity service, ensuring compliance with NHS Lanarkshires policy and procedures and maintaining statutory requirements in accordance with the NMC. To provide safe, effective centred person care.
In this key role, you will:
1. Planning, assessing, developing, implementing and evaluating planned programmes of care
2. Being an advocate for women and their families and promoting normality throughout antepartum, intrapartum and post partum period
3. Supervise and deploy staff within own designated area
4. Provide specialist advice and support junior staff with regard to antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care
What You'll Bring:
5. Registered Midwife with valid NMC Registration
6. Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
7. Post graduate expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge required to lead safety, effectively and efficiently
8. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality / area of practice.
9. A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
