Senior Business Analyst, Institutional Banking & Distribution, Business Development (Fluency in French is desirable)
Location - London
Founded in 2007, our client is one of the fastest growing banks of their kind in the UK. They offer personal and corporate savings products and finance for UK residential and commercial property, in addition to sourcing and advising on UK real estate investments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head, Wholesale Banking & Financing Solution and Deputy Head of Institutional Banking & Distribution in driving IB business strategy in Sub Saharan Africa.
* Manage existing African FI relationships and enhance profitability in line with the Bank’s Risk Appetite, IBFI budget, targets, and global strategy.
Key Skills/Experience:
* Support the Relationship Manager in achieving the Department’s Budget.
* Drive origination of business by marketing new relationships to improve revenue, on-board, and retain income-generating clients.
* Prepare and deliver credit applications for review by the Credit Risk team; strong analytical skills and understanding of Financial Statement Analysis for Banking Clients required.
* Ensure compliance with all KYC and KYB requirements, including full reviews for new and existing clients.
* Coordinate with the Business Risk Review team to complete client outreaches and reviews within timelines.
* Monitor Annual Review due dates and coordinate approvals for extensions.
* Prepare limit extension requests and update system limits upon approval.
* Distribute weekly Financial Institutions Limits Report.
* Handle customer queries efficiently.
* Support prospecting, due diligence, monitoring, and portfolio management activities.
Experience / Knowledge:
* Experience in Financial Institutions, UK Regulatory environment, Credit Analysis, KYC & KYB requirements, research, and analytical skills.
* Understanding of International Trade Finance beneficial.
* Experience in the African market advantageous.
* French language skills desirable.
* Proficiency in analyzing audited financial statements, Excel, Moody’s tools, and Flex Reports.
