Spire Murrayfield Hospital, Wirral has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Assistant to join our dynamic and experienced hospitality team working on an as and when basis to help cover sickness and annual leave in our team.

Working Hours: varied shifts across 7 days a week
Contract type: Bank/Zero hours
As Catering Assistant, you will be responsible to assist in the preparation and delivery of a high standard of food and beverage service to patients, visitors, consultants and staff.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
1. To assist, as directed, with preparation, presentation and service of food and beverages, to the
specified standard, to staff, patients and consultants
2. To assist with the service of food to staff, consultants, visitors and patients in both the restaurant
and wards
3. To pro-actively engage with patients to raise awareness of the availability of a food and
beverage service that can be tailored to suit their individual needs
4. To take orders from customers in relation to food and beverage requests, adhering to any
special dietary requirements or specific needs
5. To maintain adequate control of all stock through stock rotation, date checking and ensuring
packaging is intact
6. To adhere to all statutory regulations, pertaining to the safety and hygienic operation of the
kitchen and ancillary areas, as per the catering policy
7. To comply with the health and safety procedures in accordance with current legislation
8. To undertake general cleaning and washing up duties associated with a large commercial
kitchen in accordance with a schedule of works
9. To maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in all tasks and duties

15. Ability to work evenings and possibly some weekends
16. Able to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the department
