A prestigious day and boarding school near Exeter is looking to appoint a Music Teacher to join its thriving Music department from September 2025. This is a school that places the arts at the heart of its curriculum, offering outstanding facilities and an ambitious, inclusive ethos.
The Music Department benefits from a fully equipped music technology suite, several practice and ensemble rooms, and a large performance hall. The school regularly hosts concerts, chamber music evenings, musical theatre performances, and regional competitions. Music is taught across all key stages and is a popular option at both GCSE and A-Level.
The successful applicant will teach classroom Music across KS3–KS5, contribute to the direction of ensembles or choirs, and be involved in co-curricular music including concerts and instrumental tuition (dependent on expertise). Experience with music technology is desirable.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree and QTS (or independent sector teaching experience)
• Experience teaching Music to GCSE and ideally A-Level
• Strong practical musicianship and ensemble leadership
• Passion for inclusive music education
