Duties of the MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician:
* Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring all testing requirements are met
* Carry out mechanical repairs including brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhausts, and tyre fitting
* Use alignment machines and accurately interpret readings to make necessary adjustments
* Perform vehicle inspections and complete detailed inspection sheets following company procedures
* Identify and communicate additional faults to customers and management
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements needed from the MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician:
* Level 3 Mechanics qualification or a valid MOT Licence
* Proven experience working in a professional workshop environment
* Knowledge of tyre fitting, brakes, cambelts, clutches, and exhaust systems
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong customer service and communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Self‑motivated with a focus on quality and attention to detail
