We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Northamptonshire, who are recruiting for an Electrician on a permanent basis. The position is due to start immediately, with an annual salary of £39,000 per annum plus company benefits, including a company van provided.
The ideal candidate must have 18th Edition and 2391 Testing & Inspection qualifications, as well as a full UK Driving Licence.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Providing all general electrical services including installations and repairs as required, within occupied and void properties; ensuring work is completed to a high standard
2. Carrying out electrical upgrades, rewires, installations of fuse boards and associated work as instructed, in line with all current regulations
3. Supporting in delivering a programme of EICRS in our occupied homes including providing satisfactory certificates following, the completion of remedials
4. Identifying any electrical faults or defects and report them via the personal digital assistant (PDA) and ensure the environment is left safe for customers and staff
5. Completing detailed and accurate risk assessments before completing any works, ensuring compliance with corporate health and safety policies and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Experience & Skills required:
6. Experience of conducting electrical works within domestic housing
7. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
8. City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations and City & Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391-08
9. Proven track record of complying with safe systems of work
