About HSBC UK Chief Control Office (CCO)
The CCO has accountability for DBS, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Human Resources, Legal, and WPB. It is responsible for embedding the Non-Financial Risk Framework across HSBC UK, directing risk and control remediation, and engaging with Senior Management and Regulators. The team acts as the First Line of Defence, ensuring the bank operates within its risk appetite by providing risk and control insights, monitoring, and decision support. It also identifies emerging trends and challenges poor controls, tasks, and behaviors.
Role Purpose
Operational Resilience is a key priority for HSBC. The Operational Resilience Central Capability (ORCC) develops and implements the global strategy for Operational Resilience. We are hiring a Scenario Threat Analyst within the Testing and Threat Intelligence (TTI) team. This role supports the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Bank's Operational Resilience Monitoring & Insights Capability.
This non-cyber-specific position utilizes internal data and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) to assess global risks and inform resilience planning. It offers broad exposure and collaboration opportunities across the bank.

Key Responsibilities
1. Create and maintain intelligence reports to support resilience testing and decision-making, using internal data and open-source intelligence.
2. Analyze and report insights from resilience testing across the organization.
3. Support regions and entities in building threat monitoring and analysis capabilities.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop intelligence products supporting Operational Resilience testing and decisions.
5. Manage the framework and controls for developing, selecting, and testing resilience scenarios.
Candidate Requirements
1. Strong analytical skills to interpret complex risks and generate actionable insights.
2. Experience in threat intelligence related to geopolitical, cyber, natural hazards, and third-party risks.
3. Knowledge of risk management, threat monitoring, and scenario testing.
4. Understanding of operational resilience within financial services and regulatory environments.
5. Self-motivated with curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement.
6. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with a constructive challenge mindset.
