The Vehicle Engine Fitter is responsible for fitting, assembling, repairing, and maintaining Mercedes engines in cars and light commercials. This includes diagnosing mechanical issues, replacing or repairing components, and ensuring all work meets Mercedes specifications. The Job * Install, assemble, and fit vehicle engines and related components. * Diagnose engine faults using manual inspection and diagnostic equipment. * Repair or replace defective parts such as pistons, bearings, valves, gaskets, and fuel systems. * Adjust engine components for optimal performance. * Follow technical diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. * Test engines after fitting to ensure proper operation. * Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good condition. * Keep records of work performed, parts used, and time taken. * Comply with safety and environmental regulations.
