My client, one of the UKs leading law firms, with over 100 years experience of successfully representing clients, are looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Commercial Property department in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised individual who enjoys supporting a fast-paced team, working across a range of property transactions and contributing to the smooth running of a well-established practice.

The Role

Working within a team-based support structure, you’ll assist fee earners across the Commercial Property department to ensure that work is delivered efficiently and clients receive an excellent service experience.

* Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to fee earners.
* Managing documents, including drafting, formatting, version control, and proof‑reading legal correspondence and reports.
* Audio and copy typing of letters, contracts, and legal documentation.
* Conducting ID checks, file opening, and preparing client care documentation.
* Managing electronic and paper filing systems, scanning, and pagination.
* Coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
* Supporting the smooth progression of property transactions by liaising with clients, solicitors, and external stakeholders.


About You

You’ll be a highly organised, motivated, and detail‑oriented individual who enjoys taking ownership of tasks and ensuring deadlines are met. This position would suit someone with prior experience supporting fee earners in a property or commercial law setting.

* At least 1 year’s experience as>
* Excellent document management and formatting skills, including numbering and amending large legal documents.
* Fast, accurate typing (digital dictation experience preferred).
* Strong IT skills, with confidence using case management and Microsoft Office systems.
* High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
* Positive, professional communication style and team‑oriented mindset.
