Join to apply for the One Stop - Customer Service Assistant role at One Stop Stores Ltd. One Stop is a subsidiary of Tesco. You will be working in a fast paced retail environment where no day is the same.
You will play an important role in the day-to-day operations of our store activities by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments and helping maintain the store’s appearance.
As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will be constantly looking for ways to improve service in your store through on the job coaching and feedback. With your guidance, your store will always remain a safe place to work and shop.
Responsibilities
* Be responsible for serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural, great service.
* Encourage customers to provide feedback on their shopping trip through completing the “have your say” survey.
* Work across all areas of the store including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines to meet customer needs.
* Apply training to ensure safe and compliant work practices and follow security procedures.
* Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming environment.
* Understand store performance and the part you play in delivering profit, while living the company values and following policies.
* Clock in and out at the start and end of shifts to ensure accurate pay.
* Follow Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products and respond to assistance calls on self-service checkouts, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintain a clean, tidy and organized store, keeping aisles clear of congestion.
* May be required to run the shift in the absence of the Shift Leader or Store Manager.
* Follow all training to keep yourself, colleagues, and the store safe and legal.
* If applicable to this store, undertake Post Office Local duties, including a background check requirement; if checks fail, the offer may be withdrawn.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience in a fast-paced retail environment and a customer-focused mindset. Ability to work across multiple store areas and to follow training and safety policies. Willingness to participate in community and charity activities. If applicable, eligibility to undergo required Post Office checks.
