Where will you be working?
At M Group Energy, we're enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide end-to-end solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering, and home decarbonisation. This role is within our Metering team, the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector, offering efficient and flexible services for gas, electricity, and water meters.
Our meter readers install, maintain, and manage meters to ensure accurate billing and monitor energy usage patterns. Want to be part of this?
What will you be doing?
* Responding to emergency and maintenance appointments for EON, ensuring smart meters are functioning correctly.
* Providing excellent customer service by explaining the benefits and safe usage of smart meters.
* Installing and removing smart meters (SMETS2) in customers' homes, typically completing around 5 jobs per day.
* Traveling around your area using your tablet to view your schedule, which is available up to 2 weeks in advance.
* Receiving continuous training to develop your skills.

What you'll bring
* Valid UK driving license – held for at least 1 year with fewer than 6 points.
* Qualifications such as CCN1 / CMA1 / CMA3 with MET1, or NVQ Level 2 in Smart Metering Dual Fuel.
* Experience installing gas and electric smart meters.
* Previous MOCOPA experience at a multi-rate level.
Additional qualifications like REGT1, 3-phase, or registration on the EUSR portal are a plus but not required.
