Job Description
Band 7 Specialist Pharmacist: your opportunity to excel on the beautiful Isle of Wight! We are seeking Band 7 Specialist Rotational Pharmacists to join our dynamic and supportive Pharmacy Team at St. Mary's Hospital. This is your chance to develop specialist expertise on our stunning island.

* Rapid skill development through a well-established rotational program across specialties such as Emergency Department, Acute Assessment Unit, General Medicine, Stroke, Care of Older People, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Oncology, Haematology, and Hospice Care.
* Technology‑driven practice with a fully integrated medicines management system, EPMA, dispensing, stock control, Omnicell, and pharmacy robotics.

As a Specialist Rotational Pharmacist you will:
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on prescribing decisions.
* Undertake rotations in Oncology/Haematology, frailty and older person care, Urgent and Emergency Services, and other clinical areas.
* Monitor prescriptions and develop patient‑centred pharmaceutical care plans.
* Ensure seamless pharmaceutical care through accurate drug histories and discharge planning.
* Actively contribute to medicines safety and quality improvement initiatives.
* Mentor and train other pharmacy and healthcare professionals.
* Provide line management support.
* Participate in education and health promotion activities.
* Represent pharmacy in Trust meetings.
* Contribute to a weekday service with some weekend and on‑call duties (home‑based with initial screening).
Qualifications
* Master of Pharmacy.
* Current listing on the Pharmacist Register with the GPhC.
* Diploma in pharmacy practice or equivalent experience.
* Completed general level framework competency training.
* Significant experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
* Significant clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience.
* Significant experience in hospital pharmacy.
* Knowledge of national guidelines relating to medicines and pharmaceutical practice.
* Specialist knowledge and experience in a clinical speciality.
Salary: Negotiable based on your experience.
